Nice, quaint restaurant with good food and good service. the chilled Jever Pils is excellent. hundred.

It took a long time to take the order, even though 3 young waiters were walking around. Then eating and drinking were taken. After 20 minutes we got the drink and it was said that the tarte flambée will take longer. The tarte flambée was there for another 20 minutes. The food itself was ok. Nothing special, but it was perfectly fine. In between you sat a bit on dry land, as no waiter showed up. But the atmosphere is quite nice and the price is okay.

Cozy pub where you can eat well at good prices. You can sit outside at any time through the covered beer garden in front of the door. The audience is very mixed and the service friendly and attentive.

It's a bit as if time has stood still here: I still know the Chapeau claque as a student pub from the past: the interior is still pleasantly woody and rustic, and the food on offer is varied, delicious and affordable throughout the day. Very personable service. Great 'pub'. A woman can also go and enjoy alone. Pleasant atmosphere. Keep it up!!

Unfortunately it was not nice. The order was taken, drinks were brought in and after 40 minutes we were informed that our food was not being sent to the kitchen and that our baguette would now take another 25 minutes. My husband was so angry that he wanted to go. So I had to drink my wine in a hurry. The thing was that nobody else ordered food! Not a good advertisement 🤔

Underground service. Ordered wines were exchanged. Upon request, the response was very unfriendly. We make mistakes everything .... but shaking our head, is not really acceptable.

After more than 30 years I still find the atmosphere special. Even if the audience has changed. The food is still delicious and the people who work there are very pleasant! Nice shop!

Although I have been living in the beautiful district of Celle for a long time, I am in Hildesheim, I also visit the Chapeau claque. Already in the 80s our point of contact for the vocational school break or a nice pub evening. Nice that there are still such constants in this day and age. Quaint ambience, friendly team and the right dishes for beer. Gladly and again.

If there were compilations with a group, there would have been too little turnover. Never again!!! Although most have eaten something and 2 to 3 drinks per person.

The Chapeau Claque was recommended as a tip! did not blow me completely. Something Uncoordinated! Orders take forever until they come to the table. Beer and pizza of the same heat. I prefer to go home and do not want to disturb!

Lovely pub set just off the market place, we really enjoyed coming here, there was a nice atmosphere about this place helped along by the friendly staff who served us and the beer was perfect. If we lived in Hildesheim this would definitely be our local, we will visit here again some day.
